The Quarterdeck:
The Quarterdeck is a casual open-air terrace serving a selection of Asian and International favorites. Entering the reception area of the brand-new Royal Spa is a soothing experience in itself. The interiors are daubed in soft and natural lighting, and furnished with antique and contemporary pieces. The music is kept at discrete levels. Aligned with the Ancient origins of Thai massage, designs are mainly from the Sri Vijaya kingdom that spanned the central and southern regions of Thailand between the 7th and 9th centuries. The mainly Hindu influences came from India. Life-size sculptures of beautiful statues, recreated from this era, are set in niches along the corridor leading to private suites. A statue outside each room holds a lit candle when it is occupied, assuring you complete privacy.

Each private suite is simple yet elegant. The walls are covered in soft, rose-coloured silk with light green accents, and the design motif of the lotus. With over 300 square metres of dedicated treatment area, the spa features 4 of these indoor and outdoor suites, each with a very spacious 60 square metres.

A typical Royal Spa Suite includes: a private therapy preparation area (separate from the guest area), two luxurious locker-rooms for guests, a shower and steam room, a rest room, two indoor treatment beds, a jacuzzi with a relaxing Thai-style sofa, and a large outdoor floating treatment bed. LOCATION

The Royal Phuket Yacht Club a Puravarna Resort is located on Nai Harn Beach at the southern tip of Phuket island. Phuket is named from the Malay word "Bukit" meaning mountain, and derives much of its former glory and wealth from tin production which dates back 500 years. Nowadays, Phuket is Thailand's largest tin producer, but is better known the world over for its beautiful beaches, crystal waters that contain colourful marine life, fascinating local culture and friendly people.

The flight from Bangkok to Phuket is only one hour, and direct flights also operate from Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Taipei, Australia and the US via Japan. The Resort is only 50 minutes from Phuket International Airport and 30 minutes from Phuket Town. Newly arrived guests will enjoy the drive to the Resort which will provide them glimpses of local residents still carrying out such occupations as rubber tree cultivation, coconut cultivation, fruit and rice farming and fishing, not to mention a view of some of the island's most famous beaches and nearby islands set against the green waters of the Andaman Sea.

The Royal Phuket Yacht Club a Puravarna Resort has a great deal to offer guests. In 1987 the Yacht Club held the first King's Cup Regatta in celebration of the 60th birthday of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

A trip up to Phuket town for shopping and wandering in the night market is easy, but the most popular excursions are to the neighbouring islands and adjoining beaches. Kata and Karon beaches are just around the bend and Chalong Bay is a few kilometres away. There are several islands to visit that are all easily accessible by boat.
